What is LinkedIn?

LinkedIn is the world's largest online professional social network. It connects job seekers, workers, and companies and allows users to post content that is shown within this professional network. People use it to share work history, find jobs or employees, and build business relationships.
If you want to make sure others can reference the learning that you do later on, it is suggested to make a personal LinkedIn account before setting up the LinkedIn Learning account through CCAC. More information about creating the LinkedIn account can be found on the LinkedIn website. If you create a LinkedIn account, make sure to link it to your personal information. Your LinkedIn account can be used even after you leave CCAC to help you connect with your professional network.

What is LinkedIn Learning?

Separate from, but affiliated with, LinkedIn, LinkedIn Learning is an online educational platform that helps you discover and develop business, technology-related, and creative skills through expert-led course videos. There are many courses on LinkedIn Learning to expand your skills and knowledge. Through partnerships with other companies, some courses will even provide a certificate you can use to showcase your new knowledge.

Your LinkedIn Learning account is associated with your CCAC credentials. When you no longer have access to your CCAC Net ID account, you will also not be able to access LinkedIn Learning through the CCAC license to do more courses or training.

LinkedIn Learning is Free to CCAC Students.

CCAC provides a LinkedIn Learning license to all students at no additional cost, allowing them to access these resources after setting up an account with their CCAC credentials, following the steps below. This is not a free trial; this is full access to the LinkedIn Learning catalog of over 2,000 courses, 120 credentials or certificates, continuing education units, and academic credits provided to you by CCAC.
